Casa De Mi Padre

Amidst solid performances from all of the actors, and its dramatic plot, Casa de Mi Padre becomes a farce not only of Mexican soapiness, but of itself. A love of gunfights, fake blood, and/or Canadian slims is not required, but will certainly help.

There isn't anything too surprising about a well-marketed and well-reviewed mainstream comedy opening well on its debut weekend. Still, 21 Jump Street topped the box office this weekend with a whopping estimated $35 million.
