Sundance Tips

Things are going as well as expected for what is my first trip to the Sundance Film Festival. Which is to say, it's going very poorly. Ahead, here are some tips on how to have a terrible time during your first day at Sundance.

It's midnight and I'm doing my laundry with just enough time to pack a battered carry-on and catch an REM cycle before jetting out of Los Angeles on a crack-of-dawn flight to Park City. 12 hours ago --scratch that, six hours ago -- I had no idea whether or not I'd go to Sundance this year.

In addition to being THE place to see amazing movies, Sundance is a door gauntlet. You need to be on a list to go anywhere. This is going to take some savvy negotiating so I've been perfecting my reasons for entry all week.
