She plays Carol Ferris opposite Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan / Green Lantern, and Lively says Ferris is no ordinary superhero girlfriend who depends on her boyfriend to save the day.

"In the comic, she turns into a villain at one point, so that would be the best," said Lively. "It was great because normally these women are the damsels in distress, but she's a strong woman and she's always challenging him and they're always going head-to-head."

She even had the Green Lantern's Oath down and corrected Matt Lauer, who traded lines with her when he challenged her to recite it, ending in a big geek high-five.

'Glee' on the big screen? Yep, it's true. The New Directions gang is heading to the movies.

20th Century Fox announced today that it will release 'GLEE LIVE! 3D!,' a feature film culled from footage that will be shot during this summer's upcoming 'Glee Live! In Concert!' tour. The 3D extravaganza will enjoy a two-week theatrical run beginning Aug. 12.

'Glee' co-creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement that the film will allow Gleeks who couldn't get tickets to the concert tour a chance to experience the madness firsthand.

"There were only so many cities we could get to," Murphy said in a statement. "We knew that not every fan who wanted to attend a concert would get that opportunity. Now, thanks to our friends at Twentieth Century Fox Film, we'll be able to bring the concert experience to movie theaters across the country in full three dimensional glory. We promise every passionate Gleek a cinematic experience that will have them singing and dancing in the aisles."

According to the press release, "The movie will capture the unique concert experience along with special moments involving the characters themselves." (We take that to mean behind-the-scenes footage and/or in-character skits.)

All of the show's main cast members (including newbies Chord Overstreet, Ashley Fink and Darren Criss) will sing songs from season 2, including 'I'm a Slave 4 U,' 'Teenage Dream' and original songs 'Loser Like Me' and 'Hell to the No.' We're sure they'll also include some of season 1's greatest hits -- what would a 'Glee' show be without some Journey?

Tell us: Will you see the 'Glee' movie? Are you going to a show this summer?
Star Aaron Eckhart shared some of the action of shooting it with George Lopez on 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM on TBS). Sometimes the action of filmmaking can get a bit too real as when Eckhart broke his arm and kept filming.

"There was this beautiful fireball that was going up," Eckhart explained. "And I wanted to do a [Michael] Jordan through the fireball." He explained to the cameraman what he was hoping to make happen and everyone got ready.

"I went, slipped, fell seven feet onto my head, and my arm just goes crack," said Eckhart -- but he didn't stop the scene. Instead, he picked up the heavy object that was part of the scene and gritted through it.
['The Simpsons' - 'Angry Dad: The Movie']

From TV Squad: With the Academy Awards being broadcast next week, 'The Simpsons' naturally had to return to the topical satire that it's so famous for.

And this episode contained a myriad of parodies and referential humor, only some of which I recognized. Some of the scenes in the Japanese Itchy and Scratchy movie were taken from 'Kill Bill,' but Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece likely stole the scenes (also known as an homage) from other Japanese movies.

In fact, the whole episode was a nice callback to the earlier episode 'I Am Furious Yellow' from the 13th season, which introduced 'Angry Dad' as a web series. This show has been around for so long, it can't help but have continuity.

Ricky Gervais was the highlight of the episode. Both his conversation with the bartender at the Golden Globes and his bit at the end with "Ridley Scott" had me in stitches. Plus, there was the note at the bar that consisted of his face and the phrase "do not allow this man to host." I don't know if he wrote this material himself, but I wouldn't be surprised given his history with the show. His two monologues were classic Gervais (not to mention hilarious). Russell Brand's cameo was pale by comparison, which likely pissed off Mr. Brand himself (it's a shame considering his wife Katy Perry's funny appearance earlier this season).
"It's generous," Cameron Winklevoss said of Zuckerberg's portrayal, as his brother nodded.

Cameron explained that, unlike the Zuckerberg character in the movie, the real Zuckerberg doesn't have any inner turmoil concerning his cut-throat (and the Winklevoss's would say illegal) business dealings.

"We're talking about a kind of amoral machine, that came along and pillaged you of your idea and money?" Morgan proposed.

"That's kind of close to it," Tyler Winklevoss agreed.

Hey, if you're going to get pillaged by an amoral machine, it might as well be by one who makes so much money off his plunder he's able to effortless toss ten of millions back your way.

From TV Replay: Michael Douglas, who is currently cancer free after a recent struggle with advanced stage IV throat cancer, received a very touching standing ovation when he appeared at 'The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards' (Sun., 8PM on NBC). He was on hand to present the last award of the night.

When Douglas was announced, he strode confidently on stage. He still looked notably thinner than usual, but was otherwise happy and clearly humbled by the response. For nearly a full minute, the crowd of who's who in Hollywood were on their feet in praise of his strength, resilience and importance to their chosen medium.

Repeating "Thank you" over and again, Douglas tried to calm the crowd. We began to wonder if the orchestra might play him off just to keep the show in under time, even though he wasn't an award winner.

Finally, after the crowd subsided, Douglas deadpanned, "There's just got to be an easier way to get a standing ovation."

A class act all the way, no matter the reasoning behind it, we think Douglas is well-deserving of the response he got and we wish him continued good health and success.
