To say that I kinda liked Twilight but didn't care for the romantic drama at its center may be the epitome of absurdity. It should be noted though that the other elements of the film are worthwhile.
The problem, and the key to understanding why the story is offensive to some people, is that the core of the romantic drama revolves around two contradictory and troubling connotations.
