Jennifer Lawrence after the actress penned a scathing essay condemning Hollywood's gender-based wage gap. Now, a fellow Oscar winner -- and previous America's Sweetheart title-holder -- is also chiming in with her approval.

In an interview with "Good Morning America,"Julia Roberts said she completely agreed with Lawrence's thoughts on the issue -- and said she respected the young actress for speaking up.

"I applaud her. She's a young, fabulous, talented whippersnapper and I love that she's stirring things up," Roberts told "GMA."

And the lovefest didn't stop there.

" ... [S]he's so energetic and seems to speak her mind and I think it's great. I think it's great to kind of shake things up," the actress added. "I think it's great to go, 'Excuse me. Over here. I know something now and I'm frustrated by it and why is this?'"

Like Lawrence is now, Roberts is famous in part for commanding a $20 million-per-movie paycheck, and we're glad to see the trailblazer acknowledge those who are following in her footsteps -- and encourage more change in the seemingly-stagnant world of Hollywood gender equality. It's also heartening to know that even A-listers like Roberts are are #TeamJLaw; the stars really are just like us.
