FX just dropped a new teaser trailer for "American Horror Story: Hotel," giving fans their first glimpse of some of the key players on the upcoming fifth installment of the anthology series.

The clip takes viewers on a whirlwind tour of the hallways of the titular establishment, and along the way introduces a colorful -- and yes, quite scary -- cast of characters. There's Chloe Sevigny and Wes Bentley striding side by side, someone tied up in a mattress -- and Sarah Paulson's Hypodermic Sally trying to cut them out -- while hotel manager Iris (Kathy Bates) looks on in disapproval.

Angela Bassett's actress character Ramona struts by looking like a '70s goddess (towing a man on a leash for good measure), Matt Bomer looks fab in an all-pink ensemble in an all-white room (and is that a weird metal glove like the one Lady Gaga was sporting in her first "AHS" promo?), and Max Greenfield wields a pair of scissors while sporting a sexy punk look. Of course, all that's nothing compared to the main attraction: Gaga herself, whose Countess is introduced with a shot of her long, looooong locks, and an all-too-brief turn to the camera.

There's plenty to parse here (what's up with all the creepy little children running around?!), so take a look for yourself, and just try to contain your excitement. "American Horror Story: Hotel" opens on FX on October 7.
