You know what Jason Momoa needs to do? Pull a Jeremy Renner and go on "The Tonight Show" to sing his version of Hawkeye's "I'm as super as they are..." anthem. 'Cause Jason is playing Aquaman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and his own "Aquaman" movie, and the character could really use a good PR boost. Fans have poked fun of the not-so-super DC Comics character over the years, and during a talk at Fan Expo Canada, the "Game of Thrones" alum addressed all the Aquaman fish jokes.

It's cute and funny. People make fun of him. There's a bunch of jokes about him, but I'm like, 'Just wait. Let's just wait a little bit, and then you can make jokes.'"

We won't have to wait long. Jason's Aquaman will first appear in "Batman v Superman" on March 25, 2016, along with Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. His "Aquaman" movie, directed by James Wan, is scheduled for release in 2018.

At the Fan Expo, Jason was asked what he could say about "Batman v Superman" and "Aquaman."

It's gonna be amazing. I can say I'm extremely honored and excited, maybe as much as some of you are. It's a dream come true to be doing something like that. And, being a father, I'm gonna be really cool for a little bit. My children don't get to see a lot of the things that I'm on, they're still 8 and 6. We don't talk about too many things that Poppa does. But I'm pretty happy to be Aquaman and be able to show them what I'm doing for a while."

That's sweet, and something for the family to look forward to as the character re-appears in movies for the next several years. Asked whether Aquaman would be more serious or lighter in tone, Jason seemed unsure, but said, "I don't know [how serious Aquaman will be] yet, but I can't see me busting out a lot of jokes. I don't think it will be like that." He's heard enough jokes!

Earlier this year, Jason talked to Entertainment Weekly about Aquaman and Zack Synder's "Batman v Superman":

The whole mythology of Aquaman is pretty amazing. There's so many things to tell, and there's a whole backstory that's just amazing. There's a lot of surprises coming. I think, yeah, he's been cast aside [in the past]. But, um [laughs] times are going to change now, buddy. ... We don't want to just reinvent it, but [Zack Snyder has] got a whole idea of what Aquaman should be and I'm really honored to be playing it. I'm excited for the world to see it.
