Netflix released the new, official logo for "Fuller House" this week, and fans of "Full House" will notice that it looks pretty familiar.

Designers clearly wanted to pay homage to the original show with this logo, and thus, it looks almost identical to the original "Full House" logo, down to the font, color, and angle of the letters. Netflix's reaction to this new nameplate also happens to be familiar, and we concur: Have mercy!


While critics might sneer that the logo is as unoriginal as the show itself, we like that the series is taking great strides to be as faithful to the first show as possible. After all, Netflix chose to revive the property for a reason, and fans of the original will surely appreciate even this small example of attention to detail.

"Fuller House" reunites the Tanner clan for a new generation of gentle family life lessons, this time led by D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) as a recently-widowed mother of three (a slightly less depressing backstory than the original plan for her character). The series pilot will serve as a "Full House" reunion show, with (most of) the entire extended clan set to return, including Bob Saget, John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber, and Jodi Sweetin.

"Fuller House" is set to debut sometime in 2016.
