It's official – Ben Higgins is your next "Bachelor."

ABC announced the news on last nights "After Paradise." The 26-year-old software salesman from Denver was considered a frontrunner for the position ever since he was eliminated in third place on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of "The Bachelorette."

"It's incredible," he told host Chris Harrison last night. "People like me don't get opportunities like this, and I never would have thought that this opportunity would be something that I could have and I'm excited. Everything leading up to this has just been incredible."

"Bachelor" fan Amy Schumer (who appeared on "The Bachelorette" last season) phoned into "After Paradise" to jokingly warn Higgins, "Don't do it." She also asked, "Do you want to have phone sex with me?"

There were rumors that fellow Bristowe rejects Ben Zorn and Nick Viall, as well as Andi Dorfman's ex-fiance Josh Murray, were in the running, but in the end, Higgins won the "Bachelor" title. He was a favorite last season, known for being a nice guy who wore a lot of sweaters, was definitely not a virgin, and enjoyed talking all night.

Bristowe, at least, enthusiastically endorses Higgins. "I think he's just God's gift to women," she told Variety last month. "Not sure why I didn't see that, but, I mean, men, women, their dogs, they all love Ben H."
