'90s kids, rejoice: "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" is getting a reboot.

That's according to TVLine, which reports that a reboot of the beloved sitcom is currently "in the very early stages of development." And what's more, none other than titular star Will Smith is on board for the project.

Sadly, Smith's involvement is strictly in a production capacity, but still, it stands to reason that if the Fresh Prince himself is working on the show, it has to be as good as the original, right? According to TVLine, Smith will produce through his Overbrook Entertainment banner, and the project will be shopped around to networks soon.

There's no official synopsis yet, per TVLine's report, but the show will be "a present-day 'Fresh Prince' reboot that puts a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series." The site also notes that it's not yet clear whether this new version "will be a straight reboot along the lines of 'Hawaii Five-0,' or a revival/continuation a la Netflix's 'Fuller House.'"

Regardless of either scenario, there's going to be plenty of excitement about this series. That's still no guarantee that the show will get picked up, but we're betting that if "Coach" can make a comeback, Smith and co. should have a pretty good shot, too.

Stay tuned.
