We've seen James Bond tussling with bad guys, driving fast cars in chases, firing guns, and seducing sexy sirens. Now, it seems we'll get to see him do something totally new — singing, maybe even dancing.

Yes, in news of the strange, James Bond is coming to Broadway! Playbill reports that producer Merry Saltzman — daughter of legendary Bond film producer Harry Saltzman — has secured the rights to turn Ian Fleming's novels into a stage musical. Novelist Dave Clarke ("Keeping Hannah Waiting") will write the book, and country composer Jay Henry Weisz will handle the music and lyrics.

Producers told Playbill that the musical will have an original storyline, "several Bond villains, plus some new ones," as "our own Bond girl." They hope to open the show in late 2017 or early 2018.

Casting is still undetermined, though it's highly improbable that Daniel Craig would be involved (though he can sing!).

As for 007 on the big screen, Craig stars in "Spectre" opening on November 6. Don't expect any singing in it.
