Rupert Friend's assassin in "Hitman: Agent 47" might not have a name, but you can just call him "killer."

Fox released another trailer for the action flick based on the popular "Hitman" video game franchise, which explains the plot a bit more. "Homeland" star Friend plays 47, a genetically-engineered killing machine who is assigned to protect Katia (Hannah Ware). She turns out to be an assassin just like him, and evil corporate overlord Zachary Quinto wants her DNA to create the perfect army for himself.

This is the second movie adapted off the video games; Timothy Olyphant starred in 2007's "Hitman." The new one looks exactly like what you'd expect — lots of action, car chases, and slo-mo explosions. And it seems to be the perfect first leading role for Friend, who's proven he can play stoic killer on "Homeland."

"Hitman: Agent 47" opens in theaters August 21.
