Maybe it was the hour+ buildup to the big reveal of the second "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer that had us already primed for an emotional experience or maybe it's just the sheer, unadulterated excitement about the project, but at the end of the nearly two-minute-long clip, we were on the verge of tears. If this movie isn't everything we'd hoped it'd be, at the very least it will be remembered as the best-marketed movie of all time.

The teaser begins, as the first one did, with a slow pan against a desert landscape (which we learned was not, in fact, Tatooine but a new planet called Jakku. In the background is a crashed Star Destroyer, one that we can assume from the panel, contains Finn (John Boyega), the plucky stormtrooper from the first trailer. Then the trailer ramps up the nostalgia quotient with the sound of a familiar voice -- Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) -- and some wonderful narration. "The Force is strong in my family..." [Cue image of charred Darth Vader helmet that's mangled and looks like a skull] "... My father has it... I have it... My sister has it... You have that power too." YES.

Now the good stuff: Poe (Oscar Isaac) flying an X-wing over a lake and letting out a triumphant yowl. An explosion on this new planet. Lots of stormtroopers. B-88 poking his head out. Daisy Ridley looking incredibly fierce and then the kicker (and here's where the water works will come), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), with Solo saying, "Chewie, we're home." YES WE ARE.
