Peter Dinklage, aka Tyrion Lannister on HBO's "Game of Thrones," was on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" Tuesday night, and of course they talked about Season 5, which starts this Sunday, April 12.

Jon Stewart noted that there are a lot of book-to-screen changes this season. He asked if George R.R. Martin, who writes the book series upon which "GoT" is based, ever comes on set and says "No!" to this or that. Peter said, "He used to. He's busy lately. He's writing those books." The audience laughed a bit and Peter turned to them with a shrug. "Right?" He added, "My heart goes out to poor George because, boy oh boy, they're hard on him, the fans. I mean, it's lovely because they want those books, but they gotta ease up." Jon and Peter discussed the difficulty of writing such a long, complex series. Fans do understand why it's taking so long, but it's still hard to wait.

GRRM said he would be skipping several upcoming events, including San Diego Comic-Con, to focus on other commitments -- like finishing the next book, "The Winds of Winter."
