According to Variety, Joseph G-L has jumped on board the live action "Fraggle Rock" adaptation. He'll both star in and produce the feature film, which is based around Jim Henson's wonderfully quirky children's show from the 1980s.

"The first screen personas I ever loved were Henson creations, first on 'Sesame Street,' and then on 'Fraggle Rock,'" Joseph said in a statement, adding that he's never stopped loving Henson's work and he's thrilled to be collaborating with Lisa Henson and New Regency.

A movie adaptation has been in the works for almost 10 years, but Variety noted that, with JGL coming on board, it gives the project a major push forward. There's no word on when the movie might be released, or other details, but the Doozers are probably busy building all the sets so it may be a while.
