The movie's release is still a year away, but Ryan Reynolds is giving social media-savvy fans an early look at his "Deadpool" costume with a sneak peek at a prototype.

Reynolds posted a photo on Twitter of himself surrounded by plans and pieces of fabric, including what appear to be the gloves and mask that he'll don as the titular superhero. But the actor didn't give too much away, tinting the photo in a sepia tone and cheekily suggesting that maybe the mask will be pink instead of its signature red and black.

The actor also reminded fans that the film's release date is closing in, and is now only a year away. And while Reynolds cautioned that "it's early" in the process, that's no doubt not going to stop fans from freaking out about this early look at the character's garb.

So far, Reynolds is the only confirmed star, though actors including T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Morena Baccarin, and Taylor Schilling are all reportedly in the mix for roles. "Deadpool" is slated to open on February 12, 2016.
