New York Comic Con and other fan conventions like it are known for impressive cosplay, but one attendee's scarily accurate portrayal of "Family Guy" character Peter Griffin needs to be seen (and heard) to be believed.

Robert Franzese, an aspiring voice actor and perennial NYCC attendee, doesn't just dress like Peter; he looks and sounds exactly like a live-action version of the animated character. As he explains in a video interview, he's become a bit of a sensation at the annual convention for "being fat and wearing green pants."

As Franzese tells it, he started doing impressions as a kid, picking up voices from Looney Tunes and Muppets characters, and the Peter Griffin cosplay idea came together easily, thanks to Franzese nailing the character's delivery and physique (and having a white button-down, green pants, and round glasses handy). And it's changed his life.

"I'm like a nobody. I have a nobody job, making nobody pay. But then I come to New York Comic Con and people are pulling out phones like I'm freaking Brad Pitt or something," Franzese says. "It makes me feel like a million bucks. It's the reactions that I get out of what I do that gives me the joy in what I do."

Check out the video -- and see and hear Franzese in action -- below, and prepare to be amazed.
