Usually when a former wrestler or bodybuilder (excluding Arnold Schwarzenegger) is cast in a movie, the character is one-dimensional without a whole lot going on. Not so in action-superhero comedy "Guardians of the Galaxy," in which ex-WWEer and MMA fighter Dave Bautista plays Drax, an otherworldly being covered in strange body markings.
Drax actually has a lot happening in his life (and his vocabulary): his wife and daughter were killed by the evil Ronan, and he's on a quest to avenge their deaths -- among other things. Moviefone Canada sat down with Bautista to chat about how he brought more to the role, his favourite scene in "Guardians of the Galaxy," and just how long it took to apply all that makeup.
