Several new twists and turns are in store for "Project Runway" viewers, as the fashion reality show is set to return for its 13th season next month.
Three former contestants -- Ken Laurence (Season 12), Alexander Pope (Season 12), and Amanda Valentine (Season 11) -- are vying to return to the series via an Instagram campaign, the winner of which will be revealed during the season premiere. That lucky designer will compete against 18 new contestants, and three people total will be sent packing before the first challenge is even revealed.
Variety reports that that challenge will involve designers "using only a trunk of fabric to create a look that reflects what their spring collection would look like if they were to present at New York Fashion Week." A handful of finalists will ultimately complete said collection to vie for the "Project Runway" crown.
A list of guest judges was also revealed. They are: Julie Bowen ("Modern Family"), Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men"), Shay Mitchell ("Pretty Little Liars"), skier Lindsey Vonn, burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, fashion designer Christian Siriano (the winner of "Project Runway"'s fourth season), British TV personality and photographer Amanda de Cadenet, and YouTube star Bethany Mota.
Host Heidi Klum, judges Nina Garcia and Zac Posen, and mentor Tim Gunn are all returning. Season 13 of "Project Runway" debuts on Lifetime on July 24.
