Deadline reports that DeVine, who played the obnoxious leader of an all-male collegiate a cappella group in the 2012 original, will be back for the follow-up, set to hit theaters next spring. The "Workaholics" star joins fellow returning cast members Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow, as well as recently-announced new addition Hailee Steinfeld.
"Pitch Perfect" focused on the female a cappella group the Barden Bellas, who were striving for redemption following an embarrassing showing at a national collegiate singing competition. The sequel, penned by original screenwriter Kay Cannon and directed by the first film's co-star, Elizabeth Banks, is rumored to follow Kendrick and Wilson's characters' senior year of college.
"Pitch Perfect 2" is due out on May 15, 2015.
