Who is Daisy Ridley, aside from being the only other woman currently listed as a cast member on "Star Wars: Episode VII"?
Carrie Fisher is returning to reprise her role as Princess Leia, which makes Ridley the only female newcomer so far. Whether or not she snagged the part of Ben Kenobi's bad-ass Jedi descendant isn't clear, but so far that's the only female character we've heard about. That's the role that also-unknown Maisie Richardson-Sellers was in the running for, but she didn't make the final list of cast members.
Ridley only started acting last year, beginning with guest roles on British TV shows like "Youngers" and "Mr Selfridge." There's so little information on the newcomer that we've been forced to dig up her agent's website to get some details. So far, there's not a lot. She's set to appear in the sequel to "The Inbetweeners," a movie based on the Channel 4 sitcom. She's also in "Scrawl," a British horror movie that used Indigogo to raise some funds. The creators describe it as "'Big' meets 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.'"
Soon enough, we'll know allllll about the up-and-comer. She'll probably even have her own Wikipedia page by the end of the day.
