When "The Signal" beams into theaters this summer, it'll be well over a year after the sci-fi indie debuted to strong buzz at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
Judging by the enigmatic, moody trailer, it's worth the wait.
"We're not 100 percent about what we're dealing with here," Laurence Fishburne intones in the trailer, and the same could be said of "The Signal" itself.
What we could glean: A young man (Brenton Thwaites) is locked up in some kind of hospital / research facility, where a hazmat-suited doctor played by Fishburne performs experiments on him to determine his "condition."
"The Signal" looks like a total mind-bender -- and we can't wait! The movie opens June 13.
