fast furious 7 abu dhabi
"Fast & Furious 7" production is shifting back into gear.

Four months after the tragic death of star Paul Walker, the cast and crew of the movie are returning to work. They're heading overseas to shoot scenes in the deserts of Abu Dhabi.

On Tuesday, Vin Diesel posted an update to Facebook that alluded to the production getting back on track.

"The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one... only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series," he wrote.

The "Fast 7" team was initially supposed to film in Abu Dhabi in November, but Walker's death that month shut production down. The cast and crew grieved, while producers and Universal scrambled to make significant changes to the script. They ultimately decided not to kill off Walker's character, Brian O'Connor, but rather to "retire" him by using footage that the actor had already shot.

With the delay, "Fast & Furious 7" was pushed back from a summer 2014 release to April 10, 2015.
