"Inside Llewyn Davis"
What's It About? Folk singer Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac) has a guitar, a dream, and a big orange kitty cat. He's looking for his big break in New York City, but he's too busy being a bit of an aimless schmuck to do anything great. Inspired by the '60s folk scene in Greenwich Village, this comedy/drama has a whole lot of good music performed by stars Isaac, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, and Adam Driver.
Why We're IN: The Coen brothers, a fantastic soundtrack produced by T-Bone Burnett, and one cool cat that rides the subway? We're in.

"George Washington" (Criterion Collection)
What's It About? Writer/director David Gordon Green's feature-length debut is about a group of tweens in North Carolina, and the very bad thing we know they did one summer.
Why We're IN: Although Green's more widely known for his work on stoner comedies like "Pineapple Express," his real talent lies in small, lyrical, melancholy films like "Prince Avalanche," "All the Real Girls," and "George Washington." This Criterion release includes commentary from Green, actor Paul Schneider, and "George Washington" cinematographer Tim Orr, plus a fancy high-def digital transfer and other bells and whistles.
New on DVD & Blu-ray
"The Book Thief"
What's It About? A young German girl named Liesel (Sophie Nélisse) develops a verboten hobby of stealing and reading books, because even members of the Hitler Youth enjoy a good yearn. Her adopted parents (Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson) have an equally dangerous secret, which is that they're hiding a young Jewish man named Max (Ben Schnetzer) in their house while the horrors of World War II rage outside. Based on the book by Markus Zusak.
IN or OUT: Although critics dug young Nélisse, the movie itself landed with a resounding thud. Out.
What's It About? An ex-Navy SEAL (Tom Everett Scott) is in a bit of a bind. He's on the hunt for a lost drug shipment somewhere along the border between the United States and Canada, which is stressful enough since the leader of the cartel is none other than Jean-Claude Van Damme. Then Henry runs into his old enemy Clay (Orlando Jones), and things just go haywire from there.
IN or OUT: If you like gnards-to-the-wall action, plus dudes running around in a forest, plus The Muscles from Brussels, then you'll love "Enemies Closer."
What's It About? All you need to know is that this movie pits Jason Statham against James Franco, and Sylvester Stallone wrote the script. Statham is an ex-DEA and protective daddy, and Franco plays a meth dealer named Gator. The rest is gravy.
EXCLUSIVE: Jason Statham takes you behind the scenes of "Homefront" (VIDEO)
IN or OUT: Despite an impressive cast, which includes Woody Harrelson, Sam Shepard, and Forest Whitaker, this sophomore attempt by Scott Cooper ("Crazy Heart") disappointed critics.
"The Patience Stone"
What's It About? International star Golshifteh Farahani plays a nameless woman in a war-torn country who's keeping vigil at the bedside of her comatose husband. Eventually, she begins to tell him all about her life -- her secrets, her worries, all the things she's kept to herself during their marriage.
IN or OUT: Although it got very good reviews, this slow-paced drama is definitely not for everyone.

IN or OUT: This is one of Sam Peckinpah's later films, and although it was critically reviled when it was initially released, it's definitely found a home among fans of the '70s auteur.
"El Dorado" (1966)
What's It About? John Wayne and Robert Mitchum star in this classic Howard Hawks Western about a gunfighter and a sheriff who get in the middle of a rancher's turf war over water rights.
IN or OUT: It's a classic Howard Hawks '60s Western with two of the baddest, craggiest dudes in Hollywood. Come on!
"Gunfight at the OK Corral" (1957)
What's It About? Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas basically own as lawman Wyatt Earp and bad boys Doc Holliday, two unlikely pardners in a big blowout at, well, the OK Corral.
IN or OUT: The Blu-ray doesn't have a ton of extras, but fans will want to get their mitts on it.
What's It About? It's another Howard Hawks feature with Mr. John Wayne, although this time around Wayne appears as a big-game catcher in Africa whose thrown for a loop when a young female photographer (Elsa Martinelli) shows up on the scene.
IN or OUT: The Blu-ray itself isn't getting raves, so maybe think twice before springing for it.
"Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo"
What's It About? Spring has sprung in the Hundred Acre Wood. Although Winnie and his pals are psyched for the warm weather and Easter, Rabbit wants them all to stay inside and scrub up for a good spring cleaning. What the heck, Rabbit?
IN or OUT: Are your kids diehard Pooh fiends? If so, this could be a good Blu-ray to add to the rotation. It's not imperative.
