Chris Hemsworth, the Marvel-verse's Thor, said during an appearance at Wizard World Sacramento Comic Con this weekend that the second "Avengers" film was bigger than the first in just about every aspect imaginable. The actor also joked that he hoped he'd have more screen time.
"Everything in ['Age of Ultron'] is ramped up though," Hemsworth said. "It kind of blew me away reading [the script]. I don't know how Joss [Whedon] does it, but everyone has gone up another notch and the whole thing is bigger and more exciting and crazier. Yeah, he's a genius."
The Aussie actor also revealed that new villain Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen) was "pretty awesome," but said that he was most looking forward to reuniting with the rest of the "Avengers" gang, including Robert Downey Jr., mom-to-be Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, and Cobie Smulders.
"I'm really excited to start 'Avengers 2' in two months and get back on set," Hemsworth said. " ... [W]e're going to meet in London and shoot there for four months, so I'm excited to get back together with everyone and catch up."
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is due in theaters on May 1, 2015.
