Lupita Nyong'o may have dethroned Jennifer Lawrence as Hollywood's latest "It Girl," but for Nicholas Hoult, Lawrence is still queen of his heart.
In the spring issue of V Man magazine, Hoult doesn't hold back in gushing about his girlfriend and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" co-star.
"The privacy thing obviously changes but the rest pretty much stays the same," the 24-year-old actor said of their relationship, which began when they met while filming "X-Men: First Class" in 2011.
"It's like that thing whereby you don't believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it. And I think that's something she's capable of doing and that's what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways."
Both stars are busy with their own projects, particularly the 23-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who is still finishing work on the final "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" film. So, it was a treat for the couple to reunite for "X-Men." And Hoult accompanied Lawrence to this year's Academy Awards (and helped her up when she tripped on the red carpet).
"It's fun because in this business you are away from one another for long periods of time," he noted, "so when you're on set together it's a brilliant thing, because you actually get to spend time together."
