After appearing in Seth MacFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West," Amanda Seyfried will re-team with the director again: The actress is set to play the female lead in "Ted 2."
Seyfried will star alongside returning actor Mark Wahlberg, who headlined 2012's "Ted" alongside the titular foul-mouthed teddy bear, voiced by MacFarlane. Mila Kunis, who played Wahlberg's love interest in the first film, may or may not be appearing in the sequel -- and if she does, it will be a significantly smaller role -- though Deadline reports that her reduced presence "has nothing to do with anything other than a creative decision that MacFarlane decided to take with the plotting of the sequel," adding that the director and star "remain close."
As for just what role Seyfried will play in "Ted 2," that remains unclear, as MacFarlane has yet to reveal much in the way of plotting for the follow-up. Perhaps she'll play a love interest for Ted, whose bear body didn't stop him from getting plenty of female attention in the first flick.
"Ted 2" is due out June 26, 2015.
