Moviefone's Top DVD of the Week
What's It About? Wadjda, a 10-year-old girl in Saudi Arabia, desperately wants a bike of her own, and after a bunch of her own money-making schemes fail, she enters her school's Koran memorization contest for the prize money.
Why We're IN: Writer/director Haifaa Al Mansour has crafted an excellent movie, but in addition to that, "Wadjda" is the first feature-length film made entirely in Saudi Arabia, and the first film written and directed by a Saudi woman.

"The Jungle Book: Diamond Edition"

"The Adventurer: Curse of the Midas Box"
What's It About? A young man on the hunt for his lost family must join forces with the curious Captain Will Charity (Michael Sheen) to investigate an even more curious steam-powered hotel called the Prince Regent. Terrible, magical things await! And also the Midas Box.
IN or OUT: This would-be film franchise was completely off our radar, and for good reason. It's gotten terrible reviews by the few who've seen it.
"All is Lost"
What's It About? Robert Redford stars as a nameless man struggling to stay alive after a boating accident. That's it.
IN or OUT: In. Redford carries the entire movie by himself, hardly speaking a word.
"The Armstrong Lie"
What's It About? Alex Gibney began making a documentary about Lance Armstrong in 2008. By 2013, when Armstrong had come clean-ish about using performance-enhancing drugs, it was an entirely different story.
IN or OUT: Sports documentary fans will want in.
What's It About? A Jane Austen-obsessed singleton (Keri Russell) splurges on a trip that recreates the Regency-era experience for similarly inclined Austenites. This includes costumes and actors who assume the roles of romantic gentleman - even a Mr. Darcy knock-off.
EXCLUSIVE: The Cast of "Austenland" talk awkward auditions (VIDEO)
"The Best Man Holiday"
What's It About? The group of friends we met back in 1999, in "The Best Man," is back for a Christmas reunion. It's a jam-packed cast, with Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Taye Diggs, and Harold Perrineau joining Regina Hall, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, and Monica Calhoun in their roles from the original.
EXCLUSIVE: Watch a scene from "The Best Man Holiday" (VIDEO)
What's It About? Michael Fassbender stars as the eponymous lawyer who gets embroiled in a nasty drug-dealing scheme. Somehow, an incredible cast (Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz), a script by a Pulitzer prize-winning author (Cormac McCarthy), and a legendary director (Ridley Scott) add up to one pretty silly movie.
IN or OUT: It's fairly violent, and there's one scene with Diaz and Bardem that will go down in history as the strangest sex scene portrayed in mainstream film probably ever. Your mileage may vary.
What's It About? Naomi Watts stars as Princess Diana of Wales in this story her secret love affair with a Pakistani doctor, Hasnat Khan (Naveen Andrews), in the years leading up to her tragic death.
IN or OUT: "Diana" seemed like it would be a strong biopic, with Watts transforming into a stunning Diana, but it fell short of expectations. Very short.
What's It About? There's a war brewing between Earthlings and aliens rather unfortunately known Buggers. Obviously, the only solution is to train children to lead wars against these insectoid invaders. Asa Butterfield, Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, and Harrison Ford star in this adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi classic.
IN or OUT: Fans of the book should be relatively pleased with this adaptation.
EXCLUSIVE: Watch a scene from "Ender's Game" (VIDEO)
What's It About? Abigail Breslin stars as Lisa, a teen ghost who's stuck in the house she died in with her family. She's being haunted by the new residents, including a girl named Olivia - or is it vice versa? Can Lisa help them avoid the same fate?
IN or OUT: Meh.
"How I Live Now"
What's It About? This is another oddly futuristic YA film with a teen heroine (Saoirse Ronan) trying to make sense of new surroundings, first love, and growing up. Also, impending war across Europe that could lead to the end of the world.
IN or OUT: Critics seem split.
"Life of a King"
What's It About? Eugene Brown (Cuba Gooding Jr.) started playing chess in prison. Once he gets out, he starts a chess club for troubled teens in Washington, D.C.
IN or OUT: This true story slash chess allegory might be a little too stridently earnest for some.
New to Blu-ray
"Crimes & Misdemeanors"
What's It About? This is a classic Woody Allen drama with a star-studded cast that includes Allen, Martin Landau, Mia Farrow, Sam Waterston, Anjelica Huston, and Jerry Orbach, for starters.
IN or OUT: It's up to you. If you're a fan, you know it and will want to snag this limited edition Blu-ray.
What's It About? "The Front" takes place during the McCarthy era, when Hollywood types were blacklisted for alleged political subversion and/or ties to Communism. Howard Prince (Woody Allen) is a regular guy who allows blacklisted writers to use his name to sell their TV scripts. Soon enough, these lucrative deals open up Prince's eyes to the dangers of this Red Scare.
IN or OUT: Critics were definitely split.
"Thunderbolt & Lightfoot"
What's It About? It's a good, old-fashioned heist movie with Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges. Although it wasn't as critically successful as writer/director Michael Cimino's "The Deer Hunter," it's still a solid movie. It's also Cimino's directorial debut.
IN or OUT: In.
