Moviefone's Top DVD of the Week
What's It About? This racing drama is based on the true story of the rivalry between Formula 1 racecar drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda, played here by Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl.
Why We're IN: It's got awesome action scenes and strong performances from Hemsworth and Brühl, with Ron Howard behind the camera.
New on DVD & Blu-ray
"Bonnie & Clyde (2014)"
What's It About? It's a two-part TV mini-series about the legendary criminals, from director Bruce Beresford ("Driving Miss Daisy"). Holliday Grainger ("The Borgias") and Emile Hirsch star as our lovers on the run, with William Hurt as the officer tracking them and Holly Hunter as Bonnie's mama.
IN or OUT: Can you stand to see anyone play this gangster and his moll other than Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway? You probably already know the answer here.
"Dario Argento's Dracula 3D"
What's It About? Eternal badass Rutger Hauer stars as Van Helsing in Dario Argento's take on the famous vampire story. The familiar elements are all there, but with some extra sexy bits. Asia Argento (daughter of Dario, and a writer/director as well) and Thomas Kretschmann co-star. In a strange twist, Kretschmann plays Dracula here and Van Helsing in the TV series "Dracula."
IN or OUT: Out without a doubt.
"Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2"
What's It About? Flint (Bill Hader) is offered a sweet gig at The Live Corp Company (think Google or Apple), but they're using his awesome creation to create foodimals that are running amok. Anna Faris, James Caan, and Andy Samberg return for vocal duties, while Will Forte plays the head of Live Corp and Kristen Schaal a talking orangutan named Barb.
IN or OUT: It's not as great as the first, but it's still pretty good.
EXCLUSIVE: Watch an extended ten minute scene from "Cloudy 2"(VIDEO)
"The Fifth Estate"
What's It About? Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Julian Assange, WikiLeaks' controversial founder and editor-in-chief, with Daniel Brühl as former WikiLeaker Daniel Domscheit-Berg. The film's based on Domscheit-Berg's book "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website," as well as "WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange's War on Secrecy" by David Leigh and Luke Harding.
IN or OUT: Although Cumberbatch and Brühl turned in good performances, you'd be better off watching Alex Gibney's doc "We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks."
"Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa"
What's It About? Johnny Knoxville put on some Oscar-nominated aging make-up to transform into Irving Zisman, the eponymous "Bad Grandpa." Jackson Nicoll is along for the ride as Irving's grandson as they travel across the country together. It's "Jackass," so you can guess the rest.
IN or OUT: How bad do you want to win your Oscar pool at work?
EXCLUSIVE: Watch a very awkward prank with Irving's grandson (VIDEO)
What's It About? Billy (Michael Douglas) finally pops the question to his (much younger) girlfriend, so his old pals (played by Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline) decide it's time for them to have one last hurrah in Vegas. Mary Steenburgen shows up, too.
IN or OUT: How about no.
"Metallica: Through the Never"
What's It About? It's sort of a concert film and sort of a trippy narrative, with Dane DeHaan appearing as the band's roadie. The film was originally released in IMAX 3-D, so seeing it on a small screen might be less thrilling than it would have been in theaters.
IN or OUT: Only metalheads need apply.
"A Perfect Man"
What's It About? James (Liev Schreiber) and Nina (Jeanne Tripplehorn) seem like a happily married couple, with all the trimmings. Unfortunately, James's inability to keep it in his pants threatens their marriage. After they break up, he starts a strange phone-based relationship with a mysterious woman who listens to all his woes. Guess who?
IN or OUT: This doesn't put the fun in dysfunction.
