The Monuments Men- Clip No.1
In this exclusive clip from "The Monuments Men," George Clooney is trying to talk his old pal Matt Damon into a ludicrous idea. What else is new, right? But this time around, the stakes are much higher than their old "Ocean's" heists.

George Stout (Cloons, giving off his most dapper, salt-and-peppered vibe) is in charge of leading a bunch of random dudes (read: civilians) into a World War II war zone to save priceless works of art that the Nazis want to steal -- failing that, they'll simply destroy them all. Hey, why not? It's not like that's the worst thing they're up to.

As James Rorimer (Damon) points out, aren't they a little old for this stuff? (Cue the "Lethal Weapon" mash-up!) And isn't it kind of obnoxious to go in and start telling the Army what to do -- just for some old paintings? And basic training? Roosevelt has given them their marching orders, so it's up to George to recruit these bozos for these bizarro plan. Will they succeed? Uh, duh. Of course they will. But you'll have to watch the movie to find out how...

"The Monuments Men," which was directed and adapted for the screen by Clooney, opens February 7.
