A new clip from "Divergent," the first book in Veronica Roth's YA series, shows off the simmering chemistry between Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James), giving audiences some context for what turns out to be their first kiss.

Soundtracked by the Ellie Goulding tune "Dead in the Water," Tris asks to see Four's tattoo, the mark of members of the Dauntless faction that Tris has just joined. While her tattoo is small, Four's covers his whole back, and features the symbols of the rest of the factions in their world.

"I don't want to be just one thing," Four explains as Tris touches the ink, tracing each shape and no doubt sending tingles down his spine.

The rest of the scene is pretty self-explanatory, and should leave fangirls' and -guys' hearts pounding.

"Divergent" opens on March 21, 2014.
