Never fear, Maria Hill fans: Cobie Smulders has confirmed she'll appear in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

The actress behind the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent told the Calgary Herald that her involvement in the hotly-anticipated sequel to 2012's "The Avengers" is "very top secret," and she's not even sure yet just how big her role will be.

"I hope I'm in 'Avengers 2.' I didn't get my invitation yet," Smulders told the paper. "Well, actually, they know I'm in it but they don't know to what degree I'm in it."

Smulders, herself a huge "Avengers" fan, said she couldn't wait to find out more about the film (along with the entire comics-loving universe), especially because of all the new characters it will introduce.

"I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting," she said.

For those who can't get enough of Smulders's Maria Hill character -- who also popped up in the pilot episode of ABC series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." -- the agent can next be spotted in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," which is due in theaters April 4, 2014. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is scheduled for May 1, 2015.
