In "RoboCop," it's 2028 and Detroit is overrun with crime. Vandals, murderers and criminals of all kinds roam the streets, threatening peaceful families and innocent people.

When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman), a loving father, devoted husband, and fearless Detroit cop, is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees an opportunity to build a human-robot police officer, one with law enforcement experience and hero potential.

OmniCorp succeeds in transforming Alex into a powerful RoboCop, and for a time, the results are exceptional. RoboCop is programmed without emotion, perfect for when he's on the street fighting crime. But as RoboCop begins to target the truly evil criminals in the city, OmniCorp realizes the one thing they never counted on: there is still a man inside their machine.

The movie also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton and Jay Baruchel.

"RoboCop" is being released in theatres on February 12, 2014.
