We're less than a month away from the second installment in the "Hunger Games" franchise (based on the beloved novels by Suzanne Collins), "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." While tickets are already on sale for the hotly anticipated sequel, Lionsgate is delivering one last trailer. It might be short, but it'll get you going.

The trailer starts with the evil President (Donald Sutherland) purring at our feisty leady Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), "The Hunger Games were just a game... how would you like to be in a real war?" The trailer is only about a minute long so we just get snippets of the action: futuristic trains zooming by, Katniss and her winning partner from the first movie (Josh Hutcherson) on a chariot, their clothes engulfed in magical flames, and Katniss training in some kind of holographic program (she shoots imaginary arrows at figures and they disintegrate into glowing cubes). Also: flying spaceships, spooky mist, an invisible force field, and some kind of monsters (or something).

As all of this is happening, words flash through the images: "Hope is stronger than fear." While the brief trailer doesn't give us a whole lot to go on when it comes to the plot (especially if you've never read the book), it suggests that the scope of the story has widened considerably and that the action sequences are going to be more complex and emotionally harrowing.

It's all very exciting, especially when you consider that the script was co-written by Academy Award-winning writers Simon Beaufoy ("Slumdog Millionaire," "127 Hours") and Michael Arndt ("Toy Story 3," "Little Miss Sunshine"), and directed by noted stylist Francis Lawrence ("I Am Legend," "Constantine"). Sign us up for these Hunger Games!

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens on November 22.
