Looks like the stars of "Hocus Pocus" had a witchin' good time!
The cast of the 1993 cult favorite movie gathered last weekend for D23's special 20th anniversary screening at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. It was a hoot to see the three young stars of "Hocus Pocus" all grown up and in their thirties - Thora Birch, Omri Katz, and Vinessa Shaw.
"Hocus Pocus" was a horror comedy about the three Sanderson sisters (Kathy Najimy, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Bette Midler) who are resurrected after three centuries by a pair of kid siblings and their friend on Halloween night. With the help of a talking cat named Binx (Jason Marsden), the trio must defeat the witches before their town is doomed.
Najimy was the only one of the movie's adult actors to join the reunion and posed with her costume on display. She tweeted:
halla to all the fabu people at the D23 screening and panel today. we all had a blast! thanks for the kudos. @kevintraxler- kathy najimy (@kathynajimy) October 20, 2013
Birch, Katz, and Shaw attended together and gladly took pictures with fans. Both Birch and Shaw have continued their acting careers, with Birch in last year's "Petunia" and Shaw performing opposite Channing Tatum in "Side Effects." They've come a long way from running around battling witches and talking to cats.
We love a nice stroll down nostalgia lane!
