Comedy: 'Miss Congeniality' (2000)
America has been wowed by Sandra Bullock's death-defying role in "Gravity," so what better time for a good ol' Sandie throwback? Messy FBI agent Gracie Hart hasn't been on a date (or brushed her hair) in years, and she's one of the funniest female characters in recent comedy history. From watching her learn how to walk in heels to kicking some serious beauty pageant butt, "Miss Congeniality" will remind you of just how goofy Bullock can be. Some advice: don't forget to S.I.N.G.!

In between all your Halloween party hopping and costume changes this weekend, you'll definitely need a few hours of rest in your coffin. Why not spend it watching the classic cult sequel "Evil Dead 2," in which Ash and his girlfriend vacation in a cabin where evil spirits are released from the Book of the Dead. There's no better combination of slapstick fun and gore to get you in the Halloween mood.

Indie: 'Escape From Tomorrow' (2013)
This psychological horror-fantasy -- or "That Movie Shot Secretly in Disney World" -- is one you've probably been hearing about a lot recently, and now it's available to rent online. "Escape From Tomorrow," written and directed by Randy Moore, was shot secretly in Disney World and follows one father driven to madness in the Magic Kingdom. While the film is more psychologically demented than scary, it will definitely get your mind reeling as illusions and reality mix in your favorite childhood theme park.
