Is Ben Kingsley reprising his role as the Mandarin? It's anyone's guess at this point, as the actor revealed in a recent interview that he's collaborated once more with comic-book studio Marvel on a production that's being kept tightly under wraps.
The Belfast Telegraph asked the actor if he would be reprising his "Iron Man 3" role or playing a new character in the comic-book universe, but Kingsley played it coy.
"It's a secret Marvel project," he said. "I'm not allowed to say any more, you're going to have to wait and see."
Kingsley did say that he'd already shot the project, and reunited with "many members of the crew that were involved in 'Iron Man 3.'" The Oscar winner raved about his experience collaborating with Marvel, telling the Telegraph, "It was great to be with this wonderful family."
"I think they have enormous taste as creative artists," Kingsley added. "There's nothing lazy or gratuitous about their work. They are at the top of their game, and they're great company to keep."
That's certainly some high praise. Could it indicate that Kingsley will be part of the Marvel universe for some time to come? What is this mysterious project, and what is Kingley's role in it?
Your guess is as good as ours. Look forward to a big revelation sometime soon (we hope).
