The action got a little too real Tuesday on the set of Brad Pitt's World War II film "Fury" when an extra had to be rushed to the hospital after being stabbed with a bayonet.

The UK's Daily Mail reports that the 35-year-old extra was shooting a one-on-one fight sequence with another actor on the Oxfordshire, England set when he was accidentally stabbed in the shoulder with a bayonet with a 9-inch blade. The British actor had to be airlifted to a hospital, but authorities said that his injuries were non-life threatening, and no charges are expected to be filed.

Pitt and co-star Shia LaBeouf were on set when the incident occurred, but did not witness it.

"The incident involved two professional stuntmen filming a rehearsed action sequence. Unfortunately there was an accident," a spokesperson for Sony told the Mail. " ... The man was injured but left the set laughing and talking."

"Fury," about a Sherman tank crew in World War II, is set to hit theaters in November 2014. It stars Pitt, who you may or may not have heard of, as the crew's commander.
