Jordan told the AP that he auditioned for an unspecified role -- and he didn't handle a lightsaber -- in the first chapter of the new "Star Wars" trilogy, set for release in 2015.
"I mean, everybody's going in on this project. They're trying to figure out what they want," Jordan said. "That's another incredible franchise. It's pretty crazy! ... We'll see how it happens. I don't know how I can do everything."
That "everything" Jordan referred to includes the other rumored projects that are up next for the budding blockbuster star. One of his next films will be a "Rocky" spinoff, titled "Creed," where he'll star as the grandson of Apollo Creed opposite Sylvester Stallone himself. Jordan said that project was "amazing" and he "can't wait to do it."
Jordan's also in the running -- and the heavy favorite -- for the role of Johnny Storm, a.k.a. the Human Torch, in Fox's "Fantastic Four" reboot. Director Josh Trank "is a buddy of mine," Jordan said of his "Chronicle" director, adding that he's "definitely interested" in the part.
And finally, TheWrap reported a few weeks ago that Jordan was wanted for a part in the upcoming "Independence Day" sequels, "ID Forever Part I" and "ID Forever Part II," which the actor confirmed was on his radar. He told the AP that he was a "big fan" on the 1996 original, and that "if that came true, that would be cool, too."
Here's hoping Jordan isn't a big fan of sleep; it doesn't seem like he'll be getting much of it anytime soon.
