Christian Bale is gearing up for another fight -- and just might get another Oscar out of it.

The Academy Award winner for "The Fighter" is teaming up with "Crazy Heart" director Scott Cooper for the gritty drama "Out of the Furnace." A new trailer is similar to the first teaser, which outlined the basic story: Bale is a blue-collar guy who seeks vengeance when his brother (Casey Affleck) goes missing.

He has to go up against a ruthless hillbilly mafia king (Woody Harrelson) and his thugs, who "have their own breed of justice," as a local sheriff warns Bale.

Cooper, of course, guided Jeff Bridges to some new gold hardware, and it's very possible he'll do the same for Bale in his second movie. "Out of the Furnace" looks fantastic, and features what look to be strong performances by Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe, Sam Shepard, and Zoe Saldana (poor thing is the only one without an "Academy Award" nominee/winner banner above her name in the credits).

The movie opens in theaters December 6.
