Weekend Movie Preview - Runner Runner & Gravity

This weekend, the movies take you on a thrilling trip through space in "Gravity," the underground world of gambling in "Runner Runner," and on a surreal rock-and-roll journey in "Metallic: Through the Never."

In Alfonso Cuaron's ("Children of Men") space epic "Gravity," Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and astronaut Matt Kowalski (George Cloony) are faced with every space traveler's worst nightmare: a deadly soaring field of debris, a destroyed space shuttle, and a dwindling oxygen tank. With mind-blowing visuals, a critically praised performance from Bullock, and a heart-racing series of events, "Gravity" is the must-see big screen event that will get your palms sweating this weekend. (Just remember to take some deep breaths).

In "Runner Runner' Justin Timberlake plays a broke college student who turns to online poker to pay off tuition bills. (Don't do it, kids.) When he gets cheated out of his money, Timberlake's Richie Furst seeks out the man behind the corrupt gambling website, Ivan Block (Ben Affleck). But instead of becoming enemies, Ivan takes Richie under his wing.

Don't mistake Nimród Antal's ("Predators") "Metallica: Through the Never" as just another concert movie, because this musical thriller blends the metal band's concert footage with a surreal adventure. When the band's roadie, Trip (Dane DeHaan, "Chronicle"), is sent on a simple mission during their live show, the following events escalate into a wild adventure, and Trip finds himself up against a death-dealing horseman. "Metallica: Through the Never" opened in limited release last week, but is wide this weekend.
