An "Entourage" movie has been in the works ever since it was announced that the HBO dramedy's eighth season would be its last. While it wasn't until this January that the project got the official green light, with creator Doug Ellin signed on to direct and Warner Bros. lined up to distribute, filming still has yet to begin.

According to a recent Page Six report, the delay comes down to the stars, not all of whom have firmed up their contracts. "Jeremy [Piven] finally signed his contract two weeks ago. His deal closed August 29," a source tells Page Six. "But there are other members of the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, who are still holding out."

TheWrap echos the insider, reporting that while Piven (Ari Gold) and Kevin Connolly (Eric "E" Murphy) are both locked in, Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase), Grenier (Vincent Chase), and Ferrara (Turtle) are not.

Which is kind of a problem, considering Ellin's script -- per TheWrap -- takes place six months after the series finale and sees newly minted studio head Ari trying to make a $250 million "Dracula" adaptation starring Vinny Chase. Sounds pretty fangtastic, but also impossible if Grenier continues his reported stalling.

Producer Mark Wahlberg was initially hoping to shoot as early as this May, but he's since revised those plans. "We're getting close to closing the guys' deals," he told Moviefone last month. "We're hoping to shoot in October, so we'd better hurry up! The main guys are coming back, but we also have some other great parts written in there for some ... people. [Laughs] That's about as far as I'm gonna go."

While Wahlberg sounded confident that the boys would be back, Ellin has come across as far less bullish on Twitter in recent weeks. On September 5, for example, he tweeted, "I'm not optimistic but still hoping" in response to a fan curious to know if the movie was still a go.

It's time for someone to pull an Ari and make this happen.
