Let's get this out of the way first: Ben Affleck is still lined up to play Batman in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel.

Get it? Got it. Good.

We've known since before the controversial casting announcement that this next iteration of Batman would be "older," and thanks to Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, we now have a few more adjectives to flesh out that description.

While speaking to investors at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications, and Entertainment Conference, Tsujihara revealed that Affleck's Dark Knight will be "tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile," reports Variety.

Despite the #BetterBatmanThanAffleck Internet outrage sparked by the casting news, Tsujihara remains excited about the actor director Zack Snyder has tapped to play this jaded Caped Crusader.

"Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character," he said. "The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character."

"We think it's going to be huge," he added.

Which probably isn't too far off-base, considering this summer's "Man of Steel" grossed $660 million globally.

Look for Affleck's world-weary Batman to come up against Henry Cavill's abtastic Superman when the DC Comics follow-up hits theaters in summer 2015.
