Scarlett Johansson's fiance, Romain Dauriac, isn't the only man who's found himself fixated on the 28-year-old actress -- and he certainly won't be the last.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 32, admitted to Men's Health that he wanted Johansson for his directorial debut "Don Jon," which he also wrote, long before she signed on. "I didn't know Scarlett, but I spent more than a year with the image of her in my head playing this character," he said. "She couldn't not do this."
Set in New Jersey, the comedy spotlights the relationship between a guy obsessed with porn (Gordon-Levitt) and a girl obsessed with rom-coms (Johansson).
According to Gordon-Levitt, Johansson has more going for her than just straight-up sex appeal. "Look, Scarlett is a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, but if you just compare purely physical features, plenty of girls are just as gorgeous," the actor said. "But she creates this extra something. It's in her walk, her eye contact. The total package is just off the charts."
Gordon-Levitt worked hard to turn himself into Johansson's "Don Jon" love interest, telling Men's Health that he put on 12 pounds of muscle by hitting the gym for two hours every day for six months. "And I ate and ate and ate," he added. "I ate so much food -- no fat, no sugar, no dairy, no bread."
The results speak for themselves.
