Red-hot "Star Trek: Into Darkness" actor Benedict Cumberbatch has finally addressed the rumors about his alleged appearance in the upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed "Star Wars: Episode VII."

On a Toronto Film Festival press junket for his latest movie "The Fifth Estate," Cumberbatch cleared up all the speculation regarding his potential role in the space saga.

"No 'yes' and no 'no'," he said. "No offer. It's all rumor and it's all gossip. No one's been offered other than the people we know who've been offered. Would I like to do it? I've said many times before ... I've worked with J.J. before, and he knows where I live."

So it seems that Cumberbatch will remain solely as Khan in the "Star Trek" movie franchise, until we hear otherwise.

"The Fifth Estate" opens on October 18, 2013.
