'Transformers: Age of Extinction' on-set photoParamount

The folks behind the fourth "Transformers" flick are slowly unrolling hints about what this upcoming robot fantasia will entail. Yesterday, Paramount revealed the movie will be called "Transformers: Age of Extinction" and unveiled a poster that conjures up a bleak, dusty future for us all. We've already seen footage of director Michael Bay & co. blowing things up on a Detroit set that's a stand-in for Hong Kong; they've since moved on to destroy things in Chicago.

But what about the robots? It sounds like "Transformers 4" will have more than just Autobots and Decepticons and explosions and Mark Wahlberg to tantalize moviegoers. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura dished some details to Beijing News earlier this week, and while we'll take the wonky Google Translation with a grain of salt, it does seem as though di Bonaventura confirmed that the Dinobots will appear in "Age of Extinction."

"I can't disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about," said di Bonaventura, per Tformers.com.

That's right, dinosaur robots! In Hasbro's never-ending wisdom, the company created a gang of transforming dinosaur robots that kick all sorts of robot butt. And it seems they will do so on a global scale in "Age of Extinction," as there are reportedly plenty of elements about the plot that have to do with China, from "Chinese vehicles" to star Han Geng.

Meanwhile, writers who were worried they'd have to type out "Tr4nsformers" or whatever was previously rumored are all breathing a sigh of relief.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" comes out June 27, 2014.
