Scarlett Johansson is one step closer to tying the knot with her journalist boyfriend, Romain Dauriac, reports People.
A source tells the site, "They're engaged and very happy." The proposal apparently went down a month ago, with Dauriac presenting Johansson -- who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds -- with a vintage Art Deco ring.
Johansson's rep has confirmed the news, adding that the couple has yet to choose a date for their wedding.
Johansson was photographed wearing the bling in question when she stepped out for the Venice Film Festival premiere of her upcoming sci-fi film "Under the Skin" on September 3. She plays a seductive alien who preys on men in Scotland in the dark, mysterious indie based on Michel Faber's debut novel.
"I'm playing a character called Laura, who is an it that becomes a she," Johansson told Interview magazine back when "We Bought a Zoo" arrived in theaters. "That's what the story's about -- it's about that transformation. ... It basically has no written dialogue, and I don't think it's really character-driven."
Johansson has two movies hitting theaters later this year: Joseph Gordon-Levitt's "Don Jon," in which she stars as a Jersey girl, and Spike Jonze's "Her," in which she voices a computer.
