If anyone knows awkward, it's Bill Hader.
The former "Saturday Night Live" star filmed a sex scene with Rachel Bilson for his wife Maggie Carey's recently released comedy "The To Do List," which means he had to take direction from his spouse while pretending to get busy with Bilson.
The 35-year-old actor tells Playboy, "During the sex scene I have with Rachel, Maggie said, 'Um, I need you guys to f*ck harder. Do you know what I mean? Rachel, you really need to ride him.' The crew guys all said, 'Man, your wife must really like you.'"
He adds, "We laughed a lot while we were making the movie."
As for his own first time, Hader reveals it happened with his high school sweetheart when he was 18. "It was like Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green in 'Beverly Hills 90210,'" he jokes. "We planned it, we were in love, there were candles. It was a teenage romantic thing."
So it was nothing like his "To Do List" romp, which Carey previously described to USA Today as "the most un-sexy sex scene."
"It's like a mercy situation," Hader explained in that interview. "Which is kind of [Maggie] saying [it's] the only way it'll ever happen. [Rachel's character] has to to get back at somebody. She wouldn't do it because she's attracted to you or anything, it's because she's trying to get back at a guy."
