According to the UK's Daily Mail, "We're the Millers" star Emma Roberts learned an important life lesson recently: Being Hollywood royalty doesn't get you any closer to a cronut than the rest of us.
The 22-year-old actress/niece of Julia Roberts headed to Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York yesterday morning to score one of their famous croissant-donut hybrids, but instead of waiting patiently in line, the Daily Mail reports, she attempted to cut to the front via her publicist.
No dice, said the bakery bouncer/keepers of the Cronuts, and Roberts apparently ditched the pastry-hungry mob scene after only a few more minutes of waiting.
But that's not really how it went down: Later that day, during her appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," Roberts explained that she didn't even realize there was a line, and once she discovered it, she was embarrassed about her mistake but gamely joined the queue ... until she was told there were no more cronuts.
And since it actually does pay to be Hollywood royalty, she got her cronut, courtesy of Fallon himself.
