The old CBGB is now a John Varvatos store, and the club's notoriously rank toilet has been recreated in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Will "CBGB" the movie do it more justice than modern-day NYC has?

The new trailer offers a look at Alan Rickman as the late Hilly Kristal, owner of CBGB and booster of groundbreaking punk and new-wave bands like the Ramones, Blondie, and Patti Smith. In this first teaser, Kristal and his crew struggle to get the club off the ground, with Ashley Greene playing Lisa, Kristal's daughter (the real-life Lisa, now known as Lisa Kristal Burgman, is a co-producer), and Donal Logue showing up as Kristal's security dude Merv Ferguson.

We do get a little peek at the actors playing the famed musicians who rocked out at CBGB. Malin Akerman appears briefly as Blondie, but two stars with some decent face time are Rupert Grint, who gets intimate with a beer bottle in his turn as Cheetah Chrome of The Dead Boys, and Joel David Moore as lanky Joey Ramone. (Is this a secret "Harry Potter" reunion that no one told us about?)

The real CBGB closed in 2006. Plans to move the club to Vegas fell through, and the rumor it would reopen in Manhattan hasn't come to fruition. There's still the CBGB festival, though. That's something, right?

"CBGB" hits theaters October 11.
